1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
Welcome to Banglalook (“we,” “our,” “us,” or “Banglalook”). By accessing, browsing, registering an account, submitting a business listing, or otherwise using our website at https://banglalook.com, including any mobile applications or related digital services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).
If you are using the Platform on behalf of a business, corporation, or entity, you represent and warrant that you have full legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must immediately cease using the Platform.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Banglalook is a digital local business directory operating across all 64 districts of Bangladesh. Our Platform offers:
– Business Discovery: Enabling consumers and service seekers to search for, discover, and view information regarding local shop owners, service providers, micro-SMEs, and corporations.
– Business Listing Services: Allowing business owners or authorized representatives to submit, manage, and verify business details, contact information, photos, operational hours, and promotional offerings.
– Direct Communication Facilitation: Providing tools (such as inquiry forms, direct call links, and website referrals) to connect consumers directly with listed businesses.
Banglalook acts solely as an informational intermediary and directory platform. We do not manufacture, sell, inspect, guarantee, or directly deliver any third-party products or services listed on our Platform.
3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION & SECURITY
A. User Accounts
To access certain features, such as listing a business, writing reviews, or managing profile data, you may be required to register an account. You agree to:
– Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
– Maintain and promptly update your account details to keep them accurate and complete.
– Keep your login credentials and password confidential and secure.
B. Account Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all activities occurring under your account. You must notify Banglalook immediately at support@banglalook.com if you suspect unauthorized access or any security breach. Banglalook will not be liable for losses or damages arising from unauthorized account usage resulting from your failure to safeguard your credentials.
4. BUSINESS LISTING RULES & RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Authorized Representation
By submitting a business for inclusion on Banglalook, you represent and warrant that you are the lawful owner, authorized representative, or designated agent of that business, possessing full rights to publish its information, trademarks, and associated media.
B. Content Accuracy & Maintenance
Business owners are solely responsible for ensuring that all submitted information—including business name, phone numbers, trade license details, physical address, service offerings, and pricing—is truthful, accurate, and kept up to date. Banglalook reserves the right to edit, modify, or correct listing details for formatting, clarity, or categorization purposes.
C. Verification Process
Banglalook reserves the right to request proof of business legitimacy, including trade licenses, Tax Identification Numbers (TIN), or official authorization letters, before or after publishing a listing. Failure to provide requested verification documents may result in the suspension or permanent removal of the listing.
5. ACCEPTABLE USE & PROHIBITED CONDUCT
You agree to use the Platform strictly for lawful purposes in accordance with Bangladeshi laws and regulations. You shall NOT:
– Submit or publish false, misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, offensive, or unlawful content.
– Impersonate any individual, business, or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a business.
– Post fake reviews, incentivized ratings, or manipulative feedback intended to falsely inflate or damage a business’s reputation.
– Distribute spam, chain letters, unauthorized advertisements, or unsolicited commercial messages through directory inquiry channels.
– Use automated scripts, scrapers, crawlers, web spiders, or data extraction tools to systematically copy, extract, or harvest directory listings or database information without prior written permission from Banglalook.
– Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers, user accounts, software systems, or administrative tools, or introduce viruses, malware, or harmful technical code.
– Violate any local laws, including the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act, Digital Security Act / Cyber Security Act of Bangladesh, or applicable copyright laws.
6. USER-GENERATED CONTENT & LICENSING
A. Ownership of Your Content
You retain ownership of any logos, images, text, reviews, or promotional materials you submit to Banglalook (“User Content”).
B. License to Banglalook
By submitting User Content to the Platform, you grant Banglalook a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, display, reproduce, distribute, format, translate, and promote your content across our website, mobile applications, social media channels, and marketing materials.
C. Moderation and Removal
Banglalook reserves the right, but has no obligation, to screen, monitor, edit, decline, or permanently delete any User Content or business listing at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if we determine the content violates these Terms or harms our platform’s integrity.
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
All intellectual property on the Platform—including the “Banglalook” brand name, logo, graphic design, layout, source code, aggregated database structure, search algorithms, and official portal copy—is the exclusive property of Banglalook and protected under applicable trademark, copyright, and database protection laws of Bangladesh and international treaties.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, re-publish, sell, or distribute any proprietary material from Banglalook without receiving express written consent from us.
8. THIRD-PARTY LINKS & INDEPENDENT BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS
A. External Website Links
Banglalook contains links to external business websites, social media channels, online stores, and mapping services operated by third parties. We do not endorse, control, or guarantee the content, privacy practices, safety, or availability of these external sites.
B. Transactions Between Consumers & Businesses
Banglalook facilitates business discovery but is NOT a party to any agreement, commercial transaction, sale, service delivery, or contract entered into between users and listed businesses.
– Any transaction, payment, service booking, or communication conducted with a business discovered via Banglalook is strictly between you and that business.
– Banglalook accepts no responsibility or liability for product defects, service delays, financial disputes, personal injury, or misrepresentations resulting from interactions with third-party businesses listed on the directory.
9. FEES, PREMIUM LISTINGS & CANCELLATIONS
A. Free & Paid Services
Banglalook offers both free directory listings and paid premium promotional services (such as featured placements, priority search indexing, and verification badges).
B. Payment Terms
All fees for paid packages or advertisement services are payable upfront in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) unless otherwise specified. Prices and features for subscription plans are subject to change, with advance notice provided for existing subscribers.
C. Refund Policy
Payments made for promotional packages, featured listings, or subscription cycles are non-refundable once the service or listing has been published or activated, except where explicitly agreed upon in writing by Banglalook administration or required by law.
10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE PLATFORM, DIRECTORY LISTINGS, AND ALL ASSOCIATED CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, BANGLALOOK DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
– IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
– WARRANTIES THAT THE PLATFORM WILL OPERATE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR TECHNICAL DEFECTS.
– WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, OR VERACITY OF ANY BUSINESS LISTING, CONSUMER REVIEW, ADDRESS, OR CONTACT NUMBER DISPLAYED ON THE PLATFORM.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY THE LAWS OF BANGLADESH, BANGLALOOK, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:
– YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM.
– ANY INACCURATE, OUTDATED, OR MISLEADING INFORMATION DISPLAYED IN A DIRECTORY LISTING.
– ANY GOODS, SERVICES, OR CONTRACTS OBTAINED FROM A BUSINESS DISCOVERED ON BANGLALOOK.
– UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR DATA OR TRANSMISSIONS.
IN NO EVENT SHALL BANGLALOOK’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO BANGLALOOK (IF ANY) IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
12. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Banglalook, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, expenses, or legal fees (including reasonable legal expenses) arising out of or related to:
– Your access to or use of the Platform.
– Your breach of these Terms and Conditions or applicable Bangladeshi laws.
– Any User Content or business listing details submitted by you that violate third-party rights, including trademark, copyright, privacy, or trade secret rights.
13. TERMINATION & SUSPENSION
Banglalook reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, disable, or permanently terminate your account, remove your business listings, or block your access to the Platform at any time, without prior notice, if:
– You violate any provision of these Terms.
– Your business details are reported as fraudulent, inactive, or non-existent.
– Required verification documentation is not supplied upon request.
– Demanded by legal authorities or court orders in Bangladesh.
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will cease immediately, and Banglalook may deactivate or delete your account records and listings.
14. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, interpreted, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith informal negotiations between you and Banglalook. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within thirty (30) days, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
15. SEVERABILITY & WAIVER
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
No failure or delay by Banglalook in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms shall constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.
16. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Banglalook reserves the right to update, revise, or replace these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be published on this page with updated “Effective Date” and “Last Updated” notices.
Your continued use of the Platform after any revisions become effective constitutes your agreement to be bound by the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed of our policies.
